Expertise:

Having trained with a major regional practice Richard became a Partner in a London law firm before joining Taylor Walton as a Partner in 1995.

Specialising in residential property, Richard has particular expertise in corporate relocation and tax efficient buy-in schemes. He also deals with sales and purchases of residential property for high net worth individuals and blue chip corporate clients. His other responsibilities within Taylor Walton include overseeing its HIPs operation.

Richard is the General Secretary of the Direct Conveyancing Association and was one of its founding members, whose aim is to improve the experience for the home moving public and to raise standards through innovation. He is also Circuit Solicitor for the Harpenden Methodist Circuit, a Council member of the Hertfordshire Law Society, a member of the Land Law committee and a member of the national Law Society’s E Conveyancing Taskforce.

Richard regularly speaks on conveyancing related issues, has acted as adviser to several BBC property programmes and has published various articles on the subject.

Outside interests include modern and classical music ,travel ,wine and growing vegetables on his allotment!
